Little Tot’s Early Childhood Care & Education – Staff Directory

Lisa Boni
Owner / Teacher / Caregiver:
Little Tot’s Early Childhood
Care & Education

I have owned and operated Little Tot’s for 18 years!  I have over 20 years experience teaching and caring for young children.  I am a loving wife and mother of four beautiful children, whom all spend time engaged with their friends at Little Tot’s each day.  With family, work and school, I am honestly too busy for hobbies, but most enjoy spending time with my husband and kids.  When time allows I love reading, decorating, designing, camping and trying my hand at amateur photography.

The most enjoyable part of my career are the connections that I have with each family enrolled.  I am grateful for the amazing children and parents that I have had the pleasure of knowing and caring for over the years, and for the awesome privilege, I have had to see my own children raised within such a fantastic group of people.

Education and recognition are very important to me.  I began college as an adult.  After plugging along trying to juggle all my life’s responsibilities, I graduated in 2002 with my Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.  I earned the honor of one of Macomb Community College ’s Most Distinguished Graduates in 2002 by having one of the highest GPA’s in the entire graduating class.

In 2004, Little Tot's received Accreditation through National Association for Family Child Care, and we were honored for excellence in quality care.  In 2004, I enrolled at
Rochester College in their Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education degree program.  I proudly graduated Summa Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 4.0 in December of 2006.  At that time I was recognized for first in leadership by the national honor society Alpha Sigma Lambda.

In 2007, I was asked to teach adjunct in the Early Childhood Studies program at Macomb Community College .  This has been such an enjoyable experience for me, and I feel both honored and grateful for this opportunity.  Also in 2007 Little Tot's was reaccredited at renewal through NAFCC.

I am currently enrolled at Oakland University in the Master of Education program.  Upon graduation I will be awarded a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education (Fall 2010).  My future goal is to obtain my Ph.D.  In doing so, I plan to continue sharing the knowledge I have gained with other early childhood professionals in a college classroom, while still providing excellent care to the children enrolled here at Little Tot's.

Each day I develop new goals for myself and for my ‘children’.  It is my wish for all of my enrolled children that they gain the confidence to develop a positive sense of independence, that they are happy and truly enjoy their early years here with us, and that they directly gain the knowledge they need for future success in life from the wonderful experiences and loving care we provide.

Amanda Lattie
Teacher / Caregiver

Mrs. Amanda has been a dedicated full-time employee here at Little Tot’s for the past six years.  She is a wife and mother of two, who enjoys reading, cooking, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Amanda has an exceptional ability relating to children and their families; she most enjoys cuddling the little ones and exploring science and social studies concepts with the preschoolers.  Mrs. Amanda is currently enrolled in evening classes at Baker College.

(Dominga) Raquel Masterson
Teacher / Caregiver

Mrs. Raquel is the newest member of our staff, she came to us through Macomb Community College’s Early Childhood Studies program, as one of Lisa’s former students!  Mrs. Raquel has so much to offer the students here at Little Tot’s.  She is incredibly kind, dearly loves children, is bilingual (speaks both English and Spanish) and is extremely enthusiastic about learning curriculum development!

Mrs. Raquel comes from a huge family of 13 kids!  Her husband retired from the Army and they made Michigan their home.  Mrs. Raquel has three teenagers of her own (all in Chippewa Valley schools), has two stepchildren and three grandchildren!  Family is very important to her, and though most of her family is far away they are still very close in her heart.

Mrs. Raquel has enjoyed helping out in her own children’s classrooms over the years, and because of these wonderful experiences and her love for children, she decided to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Studies from MCC.  She believes… “Children teach us patience, value of friendship, peace, calm and the value of time.” She explains… “I  enjoy working with children, because where else can you work, where people love you as you are, make you smile every day, don't judge you, and have the ability to make you laugh and cry all in the same breath.”

Kim Domako
Teacher / Caregiver

Ms. Kim has a long history with Little Tot’s, eight years of employment!  Kim has a close family.  She enjoys spending time with her mom, her niece and nephew’s as well as her great nieces.  When she is not in the mix of lots of family, she might be found organizing, drawing or reading.  Ms. Kim is currently enrolled at Oakland Community College.

Ms. Kim has such a knack for keeping our classroom clean and organized!  She loves taking the kids outside, having fun directing art activities and story-time as well as planning holiday and family parties.  Ms. Kim's fondest experiences here at Little Tot's are the relationships she makes with the families enrolled, many of whom enjoy having Kim over for play dates with their children.

All staff is First Aid, CPR and AED certified, have been screened for criminal history abuse and neglect, and have an up-to-date physical on file.
